Growth & Acquisition Strategy

1. "Reserve a Slot" (Pre-Registration)

Goal: Measure initial interest and build a mailing list before full launch.
  • Mechanism: Simple email capture on Landing Page.
  • Incentive: "Reserve your name" + Early Access notification.
  • Data Point: is_reserved: boolean, reserved_at: timestamp.

2. "Bandhu" System (Player Referral)

Goal: Viral acquisition via existing players. Constraint: Membership rewards are strictly capped to prevent economy inflation.

Attribution Rule

  • Scope: Per Email Address (Account).
  • Scenario: If nithin@gmail.com refers sangeetha@gmail.com:
    • Even if sangeetha creates 3 profiles (Warrior, Mage, Crafter), nithin gets 1 Referral Credit.
    • The "Referee Reward" (Novice Kit/Discount) applies to the First Account created by the referee.

Anti-Fraud & Abuse Prevention

To prevent "Self-Referral" farming (creating 10 accounts):
  1. "Qualified" Recruit Definition (Hard Requirement):
    • A recruit only counts towards Milestones if they:
      • Complete the Tutorial AND
      • Reach 150 Total Skill Level.
    • Signup Coins are granted immediately but "Locked" until requirements met.
  2. New Player Restrictions:
    • Trade Limit: Max 1,000 Gold trade value (giving or receiving) until 150 Total Skill Level.
    • Goal: Prevents bot farms from funneling starter gold to main accounts.
  3. Device/IP Fingerprinting:
    • Max 2 Referrals credited from the same Device ID / IP Address.
    • Browser Fingerprint (Canvas/WebGL) checks on Signup.
  4. Pattern Detection:
    • Block referrals if email pattern matches user+1@gmail.com, user+2@gmail.com aliases.
    • Flag accounts with high velocity (e.g., 10 referrals in 1 hour) for manual review.

Global Cap Rule (Cyclic)

  • Scope: PER GAME ACCOUNT (Not Per Profile).
  • Cycle Duration: 6 Months.
  • Rule: An Account can claim up to 15 Days of free membership via referrals every 6 months, regardless of how many profiles it has.
  • Reset: The cap resets automatically 180 days after the first Membership claim of the current cycle.

4. FOMO Strategy (Growth Only)

Policy: We explicitly utilize Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) mechanics for Growth & Acquisition campaigns, while maintaining a strict Anti-FOMO stance for In-Game Content.

Growth FOMO

  • Limited Time Campaigns: Referral rewards (e.g., "Invite 5 friends in Jan 2026") are time-boxed.
  • Exclusive Cosmetics: Seasonal recruit rewards that do not return (or return rarely).
  • Urgency: UI should highlight "Time Remaining" for current referral cycles.

In-Game Anti-FOMO

  • Permanent Content: Quests, Bosses, and skilling methods never expire.
  • No Daily Login Streaks: Players should not feel punished for taking a break.
  • Catch-up Mechanics: Returning players can access all content without "battle pass" style expiration.
